In case of a main power supply failure, the lift stopped between two floors is moved to floor level, the automatic door is opened and passengers are out safely, For lifts with automatic door, in case of a main power supply failure at floor level, the door is remain opened.

Also have smart Battery Charger for 72V (6 Battery of 12V) For Higher HP Motor they have also Current Sensor which detects the lowest current direction of the motor, this is optional.

How it works

Upon power failure, an elevator equipped with this device automatically moves and stops at the nearest floor using a rechargeable battery (or uninterruptible power supply also known as a UPS), and the doors will then open to ensure any onboard passengers’ safety.

Devices in Mitsubishi elevators

There are two types of emergency landing devices equipped in Mitsubishi elevators; Operation by Emergency Power Source (OEPS) and Mitsubishi Emergency Landing Device (MELD).

Operation by Emergency Power Source (OEPS)

With OEPS, the elevators operate using an emergency power source during a power failure to prevent passengers from being trapped inside the elevator cars. When the power is restored, the elevators will resume normal operation.

With supervision panel

OEPS SW and Return / Cont. SW is provided with a Supervisory Panel.
Return Floor is a floor designated by each customer in advance or the nearest floor.
OEPS SW shall remain set to AUTO position under normal conditions. If some cars do not automatically travel to Return Floor due to some abnormality, then the switch should be set to MANUAL and the elevator should be operated manually.
